So, a little bit of shopping around and it seems a few plating shops won’t touch my aluminum pushbars because it has weld seams.
So, now I’m looking at getting it powder coated in primer, and then getting spray chrome applied as an alternative.
One problem: there are a lot of different kinds out there... the best I’ve seen so far is Spectra Chrome, which is not cheap due to the equipment involved.
I’m also having trouble finding any spray chrome specialists in the PNW area as well.
If any of you know of a shop in the area, or have done it yourselves, let me know your thoughts. I’m looking for an effective solution that will be worth the money.
P.S. I'm looking for brands and solutions that can be adapted to an existing paint shop for cheap, since my auto body shop's owner expressed an interest in giving it a try. If I supply, they'll do it for free.

In the alternative, would you be willing to spend a few hours with a rotary tool polishing it out? You might get the result you want, and if you don’t like it there is always the option of coating it.
Speaking of coatings, have you considered getting it ceramic coated. It could give you shiny (but not quite chrome shiny), and I can't think of reason why this part could be ceramic coated. I guess the only downside would be that it would probably start flaking off if you indeed start pushing things with the push bar.

I’m looking for a mirror finish to match my chrome spotlight. Polished aluminium won’t work in that regard.

I don’t have any experience with it, b ut maybe you could get it vinyl wrapped in a mirror finish?

Vinyl wrapping a pushbar sounds like one of the most insane labor intensive things I've ever heard.

Wish I had some experience to share, but... Spectra Chrome! That’s the name I was trying to remember. I’ve never used i t, but yeah I remember seeing a video about it and being impressed. I’ve never had good results with anything out of a spray can. It just ends up silver-colored instead of having any sort of mirror finish.
Wait, come to think of it, I seem to recall another video where Adam Savage was playing around with chroming stuff... I want to say it was something else though, not Spectra Chrome.
...
Ok, I’m back to finish typing this comment after looking around some. I guess there’s actually a couple of long videos that I’m half-remembering here, demonstrating different products. I watched these in full a while back, but not recently, so I can’t recall what they said about how durable the coatings are.

I’m looking at Als
aCorp’s EasyChrome, which looks far more user-friendly. It uses a base coat + chrome coat + top coat solution, but it is fairly pricey. About $139 for just the base coat and chrome coat 2-ounce bottles.
It seems to bring the results I’m looking for, so I will likely buy that little Hobby Kit of EasyChrome to do some tests over the winter. I just need to get in touch with them and ask if it’s brushable (since I don’t have a spray gun).
